Arsenal have been offered the chance to sign Manchester United contract rebel, Marouane Fellaini for free after his contract with the Red Devils ran out this summer, but the Gunners are unlikely to take him on.
Unai Emery is looking for a new tall midfielder and has been offered the likes of Stephen Nzonzi, while failing with a last ditch attempt to hijack Liverpool’s move for Fabinho, but he is yet to get a new signing through the door.
Emery wanted to sign Fellaini when he was in charge of PSG last season, but the French side could not reach an agreement with the Red Devils, it is thought he wants him at the Emirates now.
However, members of the Gunners’ transfer committee do not see the Belgian as an Arsenal player and his wage demand of over £120,000 per week doesn’t make any sense to them considering the fact that he also wants a huge signing on fee.
AC Milan, PSG, among others have all been offered the midfielder, but his wage demand continues to be a problem. He also has offers from China but he wants to spend a few more years in Europe before moving to another continent.
Manchester United have also not withdrawn the 1 year deal they have offered him, and Jose Mourinho is confident that he would eventually sign the dotted lines before the start of next season.
