Arsenal midfielder in Turkey as he hopes to finalize move to Turkish giants

Jack Wilshere is heading to the Turkish Super Lig this summer after announcing he would leave Arsenal.

The 26 years old has spent the last 17 years with the Gunners but they have decided against offering him a new contract after Unai Emery told him he would not be needed in the new season.

The fan favourite has had to start looking for a new team and Sun Sport claims he is in Turkey as he looks to rebuild his career with Fenerbahce. The Turks are said to be the only team willing to offer Wilshere more than a year’s contract.

West Ham are also interested in signing Wilshere this summer however, they want to offer him just a one-year deal which is not appealing to the England star.

Wilshere has had a tough time with injuries throughout his career, however, he was fit for most of last season and ended up playing more than 30 games for the Gunners , the first time in three seasons.

He was expecting to be given the chance to prove himself under Emery, and even offered to take a pay cut to remain a Gunner, but the former Sevilla boss does not fancy him.
