Arsenal are racing against time to make additions to their team this month.
The Gunners are looking to sign a striker and a defender before Wednesday’s deadline. But they have not been able to get a deal for Pierre Emerick Aubameyang and Johnny Evans over the line yet.
However, there is good news as reports are claiming the Gunners are close to completing the move for Aubameyang with only the transfer fee left to be agreed. The reports further claims that he has agreed personal terms with Arsenal worth £205,000 per week or £37 million for three and half years.
The Gunners have failed to meet Dortmund’s valuation of the attacker over the past couple of weeks, but with the player desperate for a move it seems inevitable that he would move. Borussia Dortmund are unmoving in their demand of £60 million for Aubameyang, while Arsenal are still down at £50 million.
Aubameyang has scored 21 times in 24 games in all competition this season but he was dismal in their 2-2 draw against Freiburg, a performance that many sees as a sign he wants to leave.
Borussia Dortmund are also looking to complete the transfer early this week so that they can find a replacement for him before the window shuts.
