Chelsea are being offered a chance to replace Thibaut Courtois with AC Milan number one, Gianluigi Donnarumma if they are willing to offer flop striker Alvaro Morata in exchange.
Morata started his Chelsea career on a high, scoring seven times in his first eight games, but the goals soon dried up and he netted just three times at the turn of 2018. He still has a good reputation in Italy, and Milan are hoping to get him to fire them to the Champions League next season.
Chelsea are on the verge of losing Thibaut Courtois as the Belgian has just one year left on his current Blues deal. With a move to Real Madrid a possibility, he has refused to sign the new contract Chelsea have offered him, claiming he would sign after the World Cup.
Gianluigi Donnarumma is one of the best goalies in the world right now despite being just 19. His agent is the notorious Mino Raiola who has been shopping around with less success than expected.
The swap deal could see Chelsea still pay some money as the Italians are looking to get funds through the door and avoid being punished for breaking Financial Fair Play Rules.
