West Ham are currently leading the race for Manchester City’s Patrick Roberts.
The youngster has been on loan at Scottish side Celtic for the past two seasons, but his performances for the Bhoys has not gone unnoticed on this side of the border.
He returned to Manchester City last summer, but he still did not feature in Pep Guardiola’s plan and returned to the Scottish Champions. The Hammers wanted to sign him as a replacement for Andre Ayew last month, but he is currently sidelined with an injury.
However, they now face competition from Leicester City and RB Leipzig. Leicester are looking to sign him as a replacement for the wanted Riyad Mahred. They even requested that City add him to their bid for Riyad Mahrez last month.
RB Leipzig have enjoyed some major of success in signing English youngsters over the past couple of seasons and they want to make Roberts their latest signing from this shore.
The Cityzens currently value him at £20 million, but West Ham are hopeful that they will sign him for £15 million.
It would take some work to convince Roberts to make the move to a relegation scrap as he is currently enjoying European football.
