Liverpool are prepared to battle PSG for the signature of AC Milan goalkeeper, Gianluigi Donnarumma as Jurgen Klopp looks to solve his troublesome goalkeeping problem.
The Reds have struggled with keeping goals out since the German was made their manager, and their first team goalkeepers – Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet have been fingered as one reason they cannot win a major trophy.
Although Karius has impressed since he was made the club’s new number one last December, Klopp is said to still be interested in signing a new goalie and sees Donnarumma as the perfect choice.
The 19 years old Italian goalkeeper is likely going to be sacrificed by Milan this summer after they failed to qualify for the Champions League yet again. The Gennaro Gattuso led side are afraid of falling fowl to Final Fair Play rules after spending so much last summer.
However, Donnarumma would not leave the San Siro on a cheap as he is seen as one of the world’s best despite being just 19. Reports claim Milan would consider bids upwards of £60m.
PSG are current favourites to sign him despite the French champions also risking a ban for breaking FFP rules.
