Chelsea run the risk of losing Eden Hazard this summer if they fail to sign big players in the next transfer window as the Belgian holds off on signing a new long term deal.
Chelsea have offered Hazard a new deal since the start of last season, but the Belgian has been reluctant to sign with many fans believing that he is waiting on Real Madrid to make a move for him.
However, the Belgian has now opened up about the reason he hasn’t signed the dotted lines just yet despite being offered a £300,000-a-week contract.
According to Hazard, the Blues need to sign new players that can help them win the Champions League and other big trophies this summer and he is waiting to see who they bring in.
“I’m taking my time. I’m waiting for new players next season. We will see.
“I want players, I want to win the Premier League next season… a lot of things.
“It is something big, so I will need to think of a lot of things.”
The Blues have spent over £250m since Antonio Conte took charge at Stamford Bridge, yet they would not be competing in the Champions League next season after finishing fifth on the EPL table.
